The scooters, akhirnya mampu mempersembahkan penampilan terbaiknya pada acara JSR di magelang, The scooters - ivan pada guitars, vocals - yana pada guitars - teguh pada bass - dan Inu pada drums tampil memukau didepan para penggemar vespa se jawa bali madura itu, event vespa terbesar tahun ini yg bertempat di magelang berhasil mendatangkan bermacam2 club vespa dari penjuru negeri ini, the scooters yg diundang untuk mengisi acara tidak menyianyiakan kesempatan tersebut. lagu pertama bento dari iwan fals kemudian lagu2 the scooters sendiri yang berhasil mengajak goyang para scooterist indonesia yang hadir pada event tersebut.walau hujan tak henti hentinya mengguyur kota magelang namun tidak mengurangi semangat untuk ikut bernyanyi dan berdendang bersama the scooters, band cirebon yang sedang berjuang menjadi lebih baik tersebut.

Brett Anderson will play a short UK tour in September, following the release of his new album 'Wilderness' on Sep 1.The tour will be similar in format to the one-off date Brett played at London’s Mermaid Theatre in July, where he was joined onstage by cellist Amy Langley to perform the new album and highlights from his back-catalogue. The Mermaid Theatre show received rave reviews in the broadsheets and an ecstatic response from fans. The Verve Storms Back On Fourth Album

The Verve roars back to life after an 11-year hiatus between new albums with "Forth," a bracing blend of the experimentalism of the group's early work and the more structured songwriting of its last two efforts.The set is due Aug. 25 in the U.K. via Parlophone and the following day in North America on the band's On Our Own label, with distribution by RED/Megaforce.Only one song is less than five minutes long on "Forth," which begins with the seven-minute jam "Sit and Wonder." Atop a big bass groove and foreboding atmospherics, frontman Richard Ashcroft pleads, "Lord, give me the light," setting the table for the single "Love Is Noise," the most electronic track of the Verve's career.The cut's sampled "woo-hoo" vocal and synths stake out new territory, but rarely have Ashcroft's vocals sounded as raw and angrily passionate. "Love Is Noise" will be released in the U.K. Aug. 4 digitally and Aug. 11 in physical form."Forth" is further highlighted by the dreamy "Judas," arguably one of the most beautiful songs the band has yet penned, and the anthemic ballad "Valium Skies," a sure-fire future concert staple which is reminiscent of the hit "Lucky Man" from 1997's "Urban Hymns." "I See Houses" muses on Ashcroft's everyday surroundings while pivoting between the eerie vibes of 1995's "A Northern Soul" and the elegant emoting of "Urban Hymns."Elsewhere, the Verve stretches out in ways it hasn't since the early 1990s. The eight-minute "Noise Jam" is a propulsive rocker with references to Mother Mary, Steve McQueen and the Rapture, finishing in an explosion of pounding downstrokes, while "Columbo" barrels through several different motifs (slinky, Can-inspired bass lines; early Verve ambience) over the course of seven-and-a-half minutes.The Verve plays Japan's Summer Sonic festival Aug. 9-10 and the U.K.'s V Festival the following weekend. Stereo MCs rock Watergate

A colossal crowd of over 4000 families and sea & sun worshippers descended on Watergate Bay, Cornwall last Saturday 26th July at what was the UK’s only beach festival this summer – the White Stuff Surf Relief Festival at Watergate Bay. The event, which combined live music, surf lifesaving and pro surfing competitions, plus a packed beach of family activities is in its second year and, with the success of 2008, the festival looks set to become bigger and better each year.Crowds spread out on the sand to watch over 200 athletes compete in amateur and pro surfing contests, and revellers also enjoyed beach volleyball, classes in hip hop dancing/circus skills/face painting and more. The Sunset Music sessions kicked off at 4pm featuring artists Hold Fire, warming up for sets by Ash Grunwald, the Rumble Strips, the Wonderfuls and headliners the Stereo MCs. With a combination of alternative rock, blues & roots, ska pop and dance there really was something for everyone amongst the eclectic line-up and the local bands brought their loyal following, while the Stereo MC’s reminded us of their legendary performances.The festival raised an amazing total of £30,000 for surf charity Surf Relief UK, and its 'Surfable' project, a unique initiative to provide subsidised surf lessons for disabled and disadvantaged children and young people. A fund raising dinner and charity auction was also held the night before at restaurant Fifteen Cornwall, raising £14,000 alone.
